Clock Buddy Activities

Clock Buddy routines bring the Franklin system to life by moving students into active conversation, peer support, accountability, and structured engagement across K-8.

How It Works

  • Students create buddy assignments at 12:00, 3:00, 6:00, and 9:00.
  • The teacher announces a time and students move to that assigned partner.
  • Students discuss, solve, rehearse, explain, compare, or reflect.
  • The teacher closes with a share-out, response check, or game connection.

Why It Matters

  • Builds accountable talk
  • Increases participation
  • Strengthens peer learning
  • Adds movement with purpose
  • Supports the “involve” phase of instruction
